Key Word　【手触り・肌ざわり】・【オノマトペ】・【タイル】
岐阜県多治見市にあるモザイクタイルミュージアムにて、2023年春より始まる新たな産学連携イベントのプレ展示会『モザミュータイルラボ・リレープロジェクト』の一環として計画した。
手触り・肌ざわり=「触覚」に注目することで、タイルが持つ魅力と新たな創造性を発揮するキッカケを探求した。『フロッタージュ』でこすりだされたタイルの百人百様の表情を『オノマトペ』で音の表現に変換し、そこで得られた情報から『アフォーダンス』を考察した。これらの結果を、タイル業界で利用されているコミュニケーションツールのタイル見本板を噛み合わせてつくられた森のような空間に立体的に配置した。

We planned “Forest of tiles” as a part of exhibition. The name is “Mosaic tile museum Relay Project”. This project will start as the event collaborated by university and company at Mosaic tile museum in Tajimi-city, Gifu prefecture from Spring of 2023.
We researched the chance that let to make new creativity and charm of tile by attention of texture. We made several patterns by rubbing paper placed on tiles, changed the patterns to expression of sounds called by “Onomatope”, and researched “Affordance” getting from this information. We displayed these results at space such forest made by sample boards as used communication tools in tile industry.
