名古屋市図書館勝手に個性化計画第1弾

名古屋市内には全16区に現在計21の図書館がある。
同じように建てられていても、各々の立地や建物にユニークな特徴がみられる。
その特徴を顕在化させる小さな仕掛けを施すことが本プロジェクトの狙い。
第一弾は住宅地の中に立地する名東図書館。今回は敷地の一角にあるボランティアによって手入れされた『コミュニティガーデン』でワークショップを実施。庭に合せてフレキシブルに設置でき、星座を彷彿とさせるフォルムの仕掛け家具を軸に、図書館職員による天文に関する読み聞かせや地域の有識者の協力を得て天体観測が行われた。
学生によってデザインされたこの仕掛け家具は、まちのあちこちで展開可能な『街なか移動天文台』でもある。

The project of making libraries in Nagoya city individualization as we like Vol.1

There are 21 libraries totally at 16 wards in Nagoya city.
They have unique features for each location and buildings even so they are built as same theory.
We aimed realizing this features in this project by designed the small devise furniture.
We selected the Meito library as location of Vol.1, where is located in residence town.
This library has “Community Garden,” which is operated by volunteer, in a part of location. We held the workshop in this garden. In this workshop, staff of library were telling story of stars, we held the observation of stars by cooperation of local expert, and set the furniture with form like constellations. This furniture can be set flexibility with matching the location.
The furniture, designed by students, is also like "the observatory moving in the city" that can be set several locations in the city.
